Alnwick
Situated in the centre of town, Castle Gate Guest House is close to all the shops, galleries, museums, restaurants and inns.

The entrance to Alnwick Castle and The Alnwick Garden is only 2 minutes walk away. Barter Books is also close by, housed in what used to be Alnwick Railway Station.

Alnwick Playhouse is almost on our doorstep (about 50 yds away) and the Northumberland Hall (next to the market place) is only a couple of minutes away also.

The Willowburn Leisure Centre and swimming pool is on the edge of town (near the A1 junction).

Northumberland
The county is packed with things to do and see. Historic castles and medieval forts, sweeping beachs and rocky cliffs along the coast, and hidden valleys and waterfalls in the Cheviot Hills.

We recommend trips to Holy Island and Cragside, but don't forget Bamburgh, Craster Kippers, Kielder Water and Hadrian's Wall
